Train Conscious and Subconscious Mind – A Spiritual Journey Within
Our mind is an active camera that captures images, emotions, fear, pain, anger and many more within a very small fraction of a second. The mind is a sacred gift from the Divine. When we practice purifying the mind, we begin to feel peace, purpose, and inner awakening. The mind has two important parts – the conscious and the subconscious.
The Conscious Mind – The Outer Face
The conscious mind is the part of us that is awake and aware. It helps us think, decide, communicate and express. We consciously choose the words or present ourselves by making daily decisions. But if this gatekeeper is not trained, negative thoughts and fears can easily enter and disturb our peace.
The Subconscious Mind – The Inner Interface
The subconscious mind is deeper. It is quiet, powerful, and always working behind the scenes and contains the most power. Our karmas are mainly based on our inner world; what we think about others, and our hidden intentions to cause damage emotionally or physically. It stores all our experiences, beliefs, habits, and emotions. It shapes how we feel and respond to the world, even without us realizing it.
The subconscious is like a deep ocean. If we fill it with love, truth, and divine energy, it becomes a source of peace and miracles. But if left untended, it can also store pain, fear, and limiting beliefs.
Why Reshaping of the Mind is Important
When both the conscious and subconscious minds are aligned with divine truth, our life becomes beautiful and true to the Almighty, like a shiny pearl in the ocean and becomes closer to the nature of the Almighty ‘Onkar’. We:
- Feel guided and protected
- Think pure, peaceful thoughts
- Attract good energy and blessings
- Experience inner healing and strength
- Grow closer to the Divine Presence within

Ways to Train the Conscious Mind Spiritually
- Mindful Awareness: Be fully present at each moment. Observe our thoughts without judgment.
- Spiritual Discourse/ Satsang: Listening to the Spiritual Sessions helps us realize our mistakes and uplift our minds and heart.
- Speak with Intention: Choose words wisely that don’t hurt anyone, and at the same time, think positively about the other person with an understanding that will bring light, love, and healing to others.
- Choose Peace: When the mind wants to react, pause. Choose silence over argument, calm over chaos.
Ways to Train the Subconscious Mind Spiritually
Sant Gobind Ram Ji says that one of the best ways to train the subconscious mind is by setting an alarm for each hour from the time we wake up until the time we go to bed, for seven days. When the alarm rings, we take a deep breath and ask ourselves: What thoughts were roaming in our minds? Are we living in the present moment? Are our tasks and thoughts aligned?
If not, we bring our focus to deep breathing for at least 30 seconds and then reset the alarm for the next hour. Sant Ji says that this simple practice can make a huge difference in our lives and help purify our subconscious mind.
Listening to the Spiritual Inspirational Sessions, also known as Satsangs or Spiritual Discourses, brings powerful divine energy into our lives. Sant Gobind Ram Ji also teaches that practicing silence and focusing on the breath during moments of tension can have a profound impact on our well-being.
